Garcia Hong Law's Valerie Garcia Hong volunteered with Pag-asa Law Clinic, a non-profit group of lawyers and community leaders, in National City, California on March 12, 2022. Pag-asa Law Clinic is a 501(c)(3) group that provides pro bono and low cost legal services in immigration, landlord/tenant issues, and restraining orders. On March 12, the group welcomed a panel to share best practices for landlords and tenants to navigate common residential problems, such as eviction, rent assistance, and COVID-19 resources.
The panel welcomed Heather Carmody from San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, Ramesses Surban from Legal Aid Society, Femie Cupit with FACC-North San Diego, Aaron Giron of Pag-asa Law Clinic, and Valerie Garcia Hong of Garcia Hong Law.
In addition to providing legal counsel to our clients at Garcia Hong Law, we volunteer our time to help community efforts to provide access to justice. Garcia Hong Law's Case Manager Diana Laranang is the current President of Pag-asa Law Clinic and Garcia Hong Law's Valerie Garcia Hong is a Board Member.
