October is Mental Health Awareness Month. The Welsh Inn of Court presented a program on mental health issues in the legal profession during the post-pandemic world on October 21 in downtown San Diego. Dr. Mariela G. Shibley, a San Diego psychologist, and Jeena Cho, author of The Anxious Lawyer, provided recommendations on balance and wellness. The October group for the Welsh Inn of Court explored stressful scenarios that lawyers were facing returning to the workplace and provided resources for lawyers seeking guidance on combatting stress, depression, and anxiety.
The Welsh Inn of Court was founded in 1983 to bring lawyers and judges together to improve the skills, professionalism and ethics of the bench and bar.
Valerie Garcia Hong is a Master of the Welsh Inn of Court since 2019.
