Garcia Hong Law is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our team. Our firm handles a diverse range of cases in business (both litigation and transactional), personal injury, commercial, and real estate law on the plaintiff and defense side.

Our compensation model is designed to reward performance, with a robust bonus structure and origination credit that provide significant earning potential for attorneys who are driven, business-minded, and looking to build a lasting practice.

We are open to flexible arrangements, including contract or “of counsel” positions, for the right candidate.

Position Overview:

The Associate Attorney will support the team on civil litigation matters ranging from pre-litigation evaluation to trial preparation, and business counseling matters involving corporate governance, dispute resolution, and contract drafting.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and writing skills, a proactive mindset, and an interest in developing their own practice with the support of a collaborative firm environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery

Appear in court and participate in mediations and hearings

Advise clients on corporate formation, business operations, and risk mitigation

Draft and review contracts and other transactional documents

Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and clients to develop strategy and provide practical solutions

Qualifications:

J.D. from an accredited law school

Active member in good standing with the California State Bar

0–5 years of experience in civil litigation and/or transactional work

Excellent communication, research, and writing skills

Self-starter with a growth mindset and strong work ethic

Interest in long-term practice development and client relationship building

Compensation & Bonus Opportunities:

Base Salary: $85,000–$105,000 (DOE)

Billable Hour Requirement: 1400 hours annually

Bonus & Origination Structure:

Quarterly bonus for exceeding billable hour targets

Quarterly discretionary bonus based on performance and firm contributions

Percentage of fees earned from matters originated by the Associate Attorney

Additional percentage of fees for matters where the Associate serves as the responsible attorney
